Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) – Region I Director, Engr. Maria Dorica Naz-Hipe, and all EMB-I permanent and job order personnel underwent an awareness training on Integrated Management System (IMS) on August 24, 26, and 27, 2021 via video conferencing.
Regional Director Hipe said EMB-Region I aims to continuously improve its services to the public by acquiring an Integrated Management System certification by the end of the year which will integrate ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system) with the existing ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) certification of the office. EMB Region I has been an ISO 9001:2015 certified government agency since December 14, 2017.
Engr. Remedios Cadaon, Management Consultant of AJV Management Consultancy, discussed the different clauses of Quality Management System, Environmental Management System, Occupational Health and Safety Management System and IMS requirements with the EMB-I personnel to prepare them for the IMS accreditation.
An Integrated Management System integrates all of an organization’s systems and processes into one complete framework which will lead to increased efficiency and effectiveness. It also shows an organization’s commitment to increased performance, employee and customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
