The DENR-Environmental Management Bureau – Region I supported the “Duterte Legacy Caravan Project through Convergence of All Government Agencies” on April 21, 2022 at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus open theater, City of San Fernando, La Union. EMB-Region I personnel together with PENRO La Union, Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) – Region I and DENR-I Regional Strategic Communication and Initiatives Group (RSCIG) extended technical assistance and distributed information, education and communication (IEC) materials to the participants from the different municipalities of the Province of La Union.
Engr. III Rhodwynn de Peralta; Environmental Management Specialist (EMS) II, Engr. Judy Ann Abella; and EMS I Aldrin Mamaril of the EMB-I Clearance and Permitting Division provided technical assistance on issuances of clearances and permits under air quality management, water quality management, toxic chemicals management, including Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) and Certificate of Non-Coverage. Senior EMS Maynard Cara and Information Officer II Divine Joy Picar of the EMB-I Environmental Education and Information Unit distributed various IEC materials on EMB mandates as well as coloring booklets, spray bottles with alcohol and washable face masks to the attendees.
The “Duterte Legacy Caravan Project” was spearheaded by the La Union Police Provincial Office and is a collaboration of all government agencies as well as volunteers from the private sector to accelerate and harmonize humanitarian assistance and provide the constituents access to basic services from the government.
